MEGA!

So there is this thing that Target gets annually (actually two things, or three if you include Target exclusive Heritage blasters and Topps Update Chrome, which is definitely a thing).  The Bowman Megabox.  The 2017 innaugural edition was insane with the Shohei Ohtani WBC chrome, and those boxes sell for big bucks.  Not to mention the first autographs (on card.  On card BOWMAN CHROME AUTOS.  FIRST ONES.) of some good players like Carter Kieboom and Estevan Florial this year.  Did I mention FIRST ON CARD BOWMAN CHROME AUTOS.

There were a lot of targets around Houston.  And they were being prowled for product all the time.  I got lucky and got a few, but most were cleared out.  And although the crazy wasn't as strong as it was in 2017, they still sold for about double retail.  And they were a blast to open.  Funny thing seeing a bunch of balding fat dudes checking out the sports equipment section searching for baseball cards.  If you were really lucky, you got in the several minute window when Target.com offered some up for sale.  Or you paid through the nose on eBay.  Or you just sat by the sidelines and laughed at the scenarios I described above.  Until you realized you wanted some MOJO parallels of Vlad Jr., Acuna, Tatis Jr, and his crew.
