Panini Instant Part 2
If you're going to have made to order cards, commemorating a momentous instance such as WINNING THE WORLD CUP... Why oh why would you have these be sticker autographs? Why? The photography was amazing. The cards sold out super quick, like you'd expect from World Series Game 7 Topps Now! cards (Another blog on those coming sometime soon). But stickers. Blech.
Just look at this photo of Christen Press. Imagine it with an on card autograph and see how the sticker edges just ruin the thing. Seriously it could've been an all-time work of soccer card art. The photo is still iconic, but it's the thought that hurts me on the inside.
And then there are stickers where the autograph runs off. If people are going to pay hundreds of dollars for PRINT ON DEMAND cards, then at least, AT LEAST use stickers with the entire autograph. I paid for the whole damn autograph, not 96% of it. Which leads me to the capstone card of the 2019 WWC Team USA Victory, and the source of my greatest consternation for this whole process...
