The New Tribe Leaders of the NL East Part 2

Ronald.  Acuna.  He's a love/hate guy, but if you love baseball, you probably love Acuna.  His antics can be a bit over the top sometimes, and it really does irk me when he doesn't run out his hits.  But you can't deny the speed and power combination.  Not only does he play incredible defense, but he was nearly a 40 HR / 40 SB upper echelon of all baseball players EVER this year.  And he wasn't that far off.  And he's 21/22.  When I was 21, I was trying to figure out which bar to hop to next.

He's already gotten paid by the Braves with a longterm extension, which I think is going to look tremendously good for the Braves in the long run as they have him locked up for a while.  He also didn't slow down at all.  I mean, nearly 40/40 in his second year in the league.  Holy cow.

His cards, both prospect and rookie cards, have created huge hobby waves.  It lead to a renaissance product in 2018 Topps Update, with people harkening back to 2011 Update and Trout-mania.  It doesn't hurt that 2018 Update was the first set with flagship Juan Soto RC's and non-short printed or factory set RC's for both Ronald Acuna and Gleyber Torres.  An exciting, and often ridiculously expensive, time we live in.
