Exquisite
The brand Exquisite started the ultra-premium craze in 2003-04 with Lebron/Wade/Bosh Rookie year. We thought it was crazy to have $400 boxes. Now, Blowoutcards will pay you $210,000 for a sealed three box case of those cards. I bet it would fetch even more on the open market. In the interim time, Exquisite hasn't been produced as a stand-alone product since 2009 due to licensing problems. But Upper Deck can't let their ultrapremium label go by the wayside. Even though the price point has been far surpassed by the likes of National Treasures, Immaculate, Flawless, and even Transcendent (just to name a few), the Exquisite Rookie Patch Autograph still commands a huge premium, even if they are unlicensed cards.
Upper Deck has been packing the cards out in Goodwin, and they are always a very welcome and pleasant "surprise." I was luck enough to pull one this year, and they really are fantastically good looking cards. I have no idea what the swatch is, though!
